Our President Dr. Krishna Hota (MA, PhD) is alumni of Jadavpur University, Kolkata. Soon after submitting her thesis on "Novels of Samaresh Vasu: Individual in Relation to Society" in 1989, she started to work in Social Development.

In love for poor and oppressed people she left the opportunity of a secured career as Academician and she opted to enter much challenging work in Social Development field. She started working directly at field with poor Tribal, Women Adolescents and Children. She is a T-Group/Sensitivity Trainer also. She has an Artistic vision and skillful in designing innovative Training and IEC materials which gives our organisation a special identity.

She is our Conceptual Leader yet she is emotionally involve in the process of each and every works of SSE.

She is  a Life member of Red Cross Society, Orissa Branch.

Dr. Krishna is a Human Rights professional also; on 2007 10th December Human Rights Day, she led a campaign "To Protect Human Rights is our Moral Duty". During this four hour Rally before SP Office Balangir, SSE Staffs and Members stood for Human Rights and collected signature of passerby --people showed much enthusiasm to this new initiative, more than 400 people including Police, lawyers, Students, Social Workers, Rural women, Homemakers and even Adolescents signed the Poster. District Magistrate Mr. R. S. Gopalan and Superintendent of Police Sri Himangsu Lal also visited and extended Cooperation and Promise to work for Human Rights protection.

She has joined many women network worldwide, like, Equality Now, USA, and keen to fight for Equal status for women.

Along with another two women leaders, she has organized a Women Network in Orissa called as Women In Network for Gender Justice and Economic Rights (WIN).; WIN works in five districts- Sonepur, Balangir, Sambalpur, Sundergarh and Jharsuguda.
WIN is Campaigning against Dowry system, it has launched "Joutuka Birodhi Abhijana" since 1st April 2007.
